Maurice Lacroix introduces the Aikon PVD Limited Editions
The Maurice Lacroix Aikon PVD models, introduced at the Vicenzaoro show, offer two variations of the popular Aikon timepiece, distinguished by their glossy metallic finish achieved through a PVD coating process. This treatment enhances the durability of the stainless steel cases, making them more resistant to scratching and temperature changes.
The first model features a 39 mm diameter case in midnight blue, while the other boasts a 42 mm case in gunmetal grey. Both variations showcase the dynamic lines of the Aikon case, characterized by a combination of satin-brushed and polished surfaces.
These Aikon PVD models sport gradient dials framed by the iconic circular bezel with six prominent arms and adorned with a Clous de Paris pattern. The dial displays a lighter shade in the center transitioning to a darker hue at the edges. Notably, the date aperture has been removed from these models for a cleaner aesthetic.
Powering the timepieces is the self-winding ML115 caliber, developed in collaboration with Sellita, known for manufacturing Swiss mechanical watch movements. Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this movement provides a power reserve of 38 hours. The movement is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
Each watch comes with coordinated rubber straps featuring the “M” logo and incorporates Maurice Lacroix’s Easy Strap Exchange system, allowing for hassle-free strap replacement without the need for special tools.
Available at a retail price of CHF 2,400, the Maurice Lacroix Aikon PVD models are limited to 888 pieces each.
